When we first released Sunset Strings, it was not yet encoded by Native Instruments. This means that it did not include a serial number for Native Access, and it would not work in the free Kontakt Player.
We released it "early" to give customers an opportunity to purchase the product at a heavily discounted price. This also provided an opportunity to gather feedback and implement some changes and feature requests before it was "locked" by the encoding process.
After about a month or two of pre-release, the final encoded and NKS-compatible version was released. This version needs to be registered with Native Access, and can be downloaded directly through Native Access. (the pre-release version needs to be downloaded from our servers, either via your Realitone account, or from you order confirmation email)
Functionally, the two products are identical. The difference is primarily in how it is licensed and downloaded.
